Portrait of Anuradha Gupta

My Story

Hello, I’m Anuradha.

I’m a teacher, author, and parenting mentor. For over four decades I’ve taught mathematics and science, and raised two sons who graduated from IIT Delhi. Along the way I came to believe one simple thing: parenting isn’t only about academic success. It’s about raising emotionally strong, balanced, and grounded human beings.

Today, through writing, mentorship, and conversations with families, I help parents understand their children more deeply and build a calm, healthy emotional environment at home.

My Journey

From the classroom, to the kitchen table, and back again.

Four chapters that shaped how I think about parenting today.

Chapter One

The Classroom Years

My journey began at the front of a classroom, teaching mathematics and science for many years. Watching how children think, learn, and respond to the world became my deepest education.

I always encouraged the girls in my class to take their education seriously and to value financial independence. Educated, confident women build stronger families, and a stronger next generation.

Chapter Two

Becoming a Mother

When my sons were young, I chose to spend more time at home and continued teaching through home tuitions. My two boys became my greatest teachers. They taught me that children thrive when discipline, emotional support, and independence are held in balance.

We stayed connected through simple things: talking openly, playing together, watching films as a family. Today, both are IIT Delhi graduates and senior technology leaders abroad. I feel deep pride in the humans they have become.

Chapter Three

Insights from Real Families

Years of close conversations with parents revealed something I hadn’t expected. Most parenting struggles don’t come from a lack of knowledge. They come from somewhere deeper.

Childhood conditioning we carry from our own upbringing. Generational patterns passed down without awareness. Overprotection that quietly stifles a child’s growth. And, most often, the slow widening of the communication gap between parents and children.

Chapter Four

Author & Mentor

These insights led me to write Balanced Parenting: Nurturing with Purpose & Love. It distills forty years of hard-earned lessons into one practical guide for parents at every stage.

Today I work with parents through workshops, one-on-one mentorship, podcasts, and continued writing. My goal is the same as it has always been: not just to help families raise successful children, but emotionally balanced, thoughtful, and compassionate human beings.
